Routine Backups

Unless you deliberately save to your H Drive, the server, work is saved to your machine. It is a good idea to get in the habit of backing up on a regular basis. You will want to copy your DOCUMENTS, DESKTOP, and DOWNLOADS folder to your H Drive, server space.

Mac Users: Open the Finder. Go to each of the following folders one at a time: DOCUMENTS, DESKTOP, DOWNLOADS. Follow this process with each...
*Go to Documents - Select all (command + a), Copy (command + c), go to your server space but clicking the folder in your doc, just to the right of the divider. Click on the folder with your name on and and select Open in Finder. Find the DOCUMENTS folder and paste the contents (command + v).

Repeat this process with your DESKTOP and DOWNLOADS.

Windows Users: Click on the file explorer (file folder icon down in your task bar).

To save your bookmarks, you can export them from each of your web browsers. The bookmarks export to a single file that can be stored in your documents folder.
Chrome: Click "hamburger menu" upper right - three lines - Bookmarks - Bookmark Manager - Organize (at top) click arrow - Select export bookmarks to html file.
Firefox: Bookmarks - Show all Bookmarks - Click star and select export bookmarks.
Safari: File - Export bookmarks.
